General Info:
Aquafarin are a semi-aquatic species, able to live both on land and in the water. (Except the deep sea Aquafarin who could only survive on land for a short amount of time.) They have large fins protruding from their lower backs and antenna from their foreheads. There are three different types, each living in their own habitat. Females of the species generally outnumber the males. It is not uncommon for them to be born to parents from two different places.
Their average height is about 6 to 7ft, but their weight varies because of the variety of fin sizes and tails. Though their diet mainly consists of fish and meats, they are omnivorous and can enjoy any kind of food.
Antenna:
Their antenna function in that they can sense living things with them. Like a sixth sense. They're mostly for hunting for fish/food, ect. but they can also sense other aquafarin nearby.
Deep sea Aquafarin rely on theirs the most, while others consider them more of a decoration.
Reproduction and younglings:
In finding a partner, each type of Aquafarin has their own customs. Female coastal aquafarin like to decorate their home with colorful sea life, (like starfish, pearls, oyster shells, ect.) to attract mates, deep sea aquafarin sing, and freshwater aquafarin like to bring their potential partners hand crafted gifts. Other than that, they court mostly like humans do.
They do have sexual intercourse (with human-like reproductive organs, though the male's penis is usually ribbed or studded with a knot), and the female's ovulation cycle is seasonal. They are fertile once in the spring, and once in the winter for a few days at a time. If successfully fertilized, the female gives birth to one egg which she watches over for a month until it hatches. The young are fairly helpless when newly hatched and need to be breastfed for another month. Because of the low chance of successful fertilization, if a couple wants to have a youngling they will frequently mate around the time of the female's ovulation.
Younglings are rare and treasured by all Aquafarin.
FRESHWATER- The second most common Aquafarin live around rivers and lakes of the inland. Their fins are more abundant and occur in a wider variety of shapes and lengths. The more decorated, the more attractive to others. They often have long, pointed ears. Freshwater Aquafarin are fine swimming in the ocean or pools, they just wouldn't be able to breathe underwater. The salt water and chorine would be painful (and toxic) to 'inhale'. Their gills on their torso are designed to be able to seal 'shut' for when they are out of the water and breathing air, so the same is true if they were to go swimming in the ocean.
Social: They are more social than their other two relatives, preferring to live together in clans of four to six depending on the size of the body of water they reside in.
Enjoys: Hunting fish.
Precious possessions: River stones.
If you have any questions about the species, feel free to ask!

This river aquafara has an exceptionally long tail and loves to flaunt it. He was born to a freshwater mother, but his father was from the deep sea. He inherited his style of fins from his father.
He is $20 :D

You will receive unmarked and uncensored version, and if you have a name for him, I can add that on as well.

I can do a completely custom one for $30, but I'll be doing an egg batch tonight which are $20 (first come, first serve).
If you adopt an egg, you can choose what gender you'd like and what kind of fin type they have. But the color schemes, and what type they are, are set details :)

I'm sorry, no ;-; Aquafarin don't/can't not have legs.
I'd be willing to sell you the design to change and do with as you please, but not as an Aquafara. You wouldn't be able to post the ref I send you as is, until his design is changed, if that makes sense?
Sorry I'm just a little strict about my species when it comes to big changes like that ^.^;

Yes to your first question. And for the second question, the only other thing is I would change is his antenna (I'd remove them because they have enough of a significance to the species). But that's simple enough of a modification that I can do that for you before I send it. (If you're still interested, that is).
Okies, I actually found the antenna to be quite cute looking but if it means a lot to you than we can take it off. :)
I'm still happy to buy this awesome character and if you're up for it, I'd be more than happy to pay for a modified ref sheet or even a new one with the altered design. =3
What do you think?
