trumpet/flugelhorn player and composer kenny wheeler died last october.

kenny wheeler was perhaps the biggest musical influence in my life. his music was everything i wanted to hear and more, and made me start to think in new and very exciting ways about the music i was playing, even without me realising it. i occasionally listen back to recordings of myself playing from those days and am amazed at just how much of kenny wheeler's sound bled into my playing.

so yes, here's my tribute to him, done by the magnificent salty_tart ... i highly recommend him as he was super super quick, and obviously the quality speaks for itself.
