Lucario yawned and scratched his belly. "Huuhh", the pokémon sighed, as his empty stomach grumbled at his touch. It had been nearly two whole days since Lucario had any food. He had only just woke, perched high above the ground, lying on a thick tree branch. Above him were more leafy branches which protected him from the last day's rain. The sky above was cloudy but not dark and thankfully, there were no more drops falling what soever.
Lucario sat up and surveyed the ground below him as well as the trees surrounding him. He was alone, and the surroundings were mostly quiet. Knowing all the usual berry trees he would frequent had all been harvested last week, Lucario knew he would have to look elsewhere for food. The blue jackal's belly rumbled again... And he decided where he would go looking for something to eat. The pokémon skillfully hopped onto a lower branch, then onto the forest's ground from there.
Lucario knew exactly where he was going- Near the outskirts of the forest, there was a small log house, from which Lucario had stolen food many times over the last years. It had one inhabitant- a fox, who was normally sleeping or not around when Lucario would 'visit' his home. Lucario had only been caught in the act once by the homeowner- Last month, in fact. But Lucario had managed to easily escape- With a sack of food- after knocking the fox out with a reflexive mach punch. Lucario wasn't proud of having to steal food, but sometimes nature didn't give him another choice, so he accepted it as necessary.
Lucario began quietly moving through the forest as soon as his footpaws touched the earth. Quickly, he darted through the trees in the direction of the cabin. On the way, he saw a couple of other wild pokemon and some ordinary animals, all smaller wood-land species. Not that he would be interested in them much- he was a vegetarian, after all.
It didn't take Lucario more than an hour to reach his destination. The thick forest gave way to a more open area with fewer trees, a clearing, which bordered a valley and river. As expected, the fox's cabin was there, beside a bank connected to the bottom of a mountian. On the hill-shaped bank, a small number of sawsbuck were grazing on the grassy surface. Lucario approached the cabin, sneaking towards it from within a dense patch of bushes, and leaned against one side of the house. There was a window nearby, but Lucario waited before looking inside, and focused on his ears. He couldn't hear anything inside the log house, even with his sensitive pokemon ears, and decided it was safe to look inside. He leaned his head over to the window, and cautiously looked in.
Suddenly, Lucario felt the ground vibrate a tiny bit. He ignored it.
Through the window, Lucario saw that the fox was home, but sleeping- Sitting peacefully in his chair, to be exact. Lucario had hoped he wouldn't be home, but this was almost as good. Even if the fox had his door locked as he usually did, Lucario would be able to get in through a small hole in the roof he had discovered some time ago. Then it was only a matter of not making any noise while-
The ground vibrated again. Lucario paid attention and moved away from the window. "What was that?" Lucario whispered to himself.
Again he felt the vibrations through his footpaws. And again. This time, his whole body felt it. It wasn't like an earthquake, instead, Lucario thought, it was like something moving in the distance. Something big.
The next few shakes made Lucario that whatever was causing it wasn't really very distant, in fact, it was close. And coming from a specific direction. Coming towards the cabin. Lucario quietly moved along the side of the house and around the corner, hoping to see what is was. And sure enough, Lucario did, the pokemon being awestruck upon seeing the massive shape move out of the valley.
It was a wolf. Gigantic, black-furred, and... wow.
"Oh, Arceus..." Lucario gasped.
The wolf took a big step forward, and with one stride stepped over the river.
"How..."
Another step brought him out of the valley and into the clearing.
"He's so big, ah-"
Lucario managed to focus his mind for just a second long enough to think- He should hide. The pokemon quickly looked behind himself, and spotted some thick, green bushes. Without hesitation he jumped in, and took cover, knowing the bushes would hide him completely while allowing him to look out through the gaps in the branches and leaves.
The ground shook and Lucario's heart jumped. The wolf was so close now. With two more steps, the wolf reached the grassy bank near the cabin. Then, he spoke.
"Here we are. My favorite relaxation spot."
Lucario shivered. His voice was loud, but slow and calm. Safely hidden now, Lucario observed the titan with amazement. He was massive- Lucario didn't know how big exactly, but big enough that most of the tall trees nearby didn't even reach his waist. The wolf had thick, black fur, though his fur wasn't long enough to obscure his buff, muscular build. The wolf would have been impressive even if he was of average height, but at such a size...
"Wow..." Lucario whispered.
The wolf was unclothed, besides a chain which hung around his neck, and a small cloth garment around his waist, a brown fabric with a four pointed cross mark on one side. And, the aura poke on noticed, there was something on his shoulder. A lizard? Gray and slim, no wings. But a tail, a tail coiled around a stick. And what was the thing in his hand? A basket?
Lucario watched the wolf reach up to his shoulder, and hold his palm out to the much smaller reptile, who jumped onto it. The wolf lowered him onto the grassy hill and the reptile jumped down, and walked a couple dozen feet before putting the basket down. The nearby wild sawsbuck cautiously glared up at the wolf, and backed up a bit. The wolf smiled, and shooed them away, waving a finger towards them. The pokemon quickly made a break for the forest and disappeared. Then the giant wolf lowered his massive body, sitting down on the hill then lying back. The shape of the hill accomodated him well, Lucario thought. Like a large bed, almost. But it wasn't big enough for him, and his massive feet were left to touch the ground- Until the wolf lifted his footpaws up and casually rested them on the roof of the log house, letting out a satisfied sigh as he did, causing the roof to bend and creak under the weight.
Then the lizard spoke- Or, the dragon, Lucario realized, now that the reptile was near to his position.
"Lyle, you know that fox gets mad when you use his house as a footrest!"
The wolf smiled. "So?" Lyle closed his eyes and chuckled quietly.
The dragon huffed, and bent down to the basket, opening the lid. But before he could reach in and take anything out, the wolf grabbed him, pinching the tip of his tail with his thumb and finger, and lifted him off the ground.
"Lyle!"
The wolf chuckled again. "Nuh-uh, not yet. We were gonna eat later, remember?" He said.
"Oh, right." The dragon responded, still hanging in midair. Lyle lifted his small friend up, then brought him closer, lowering the dragon onto his chest and releasing his tail, smiling as he gently landed face down on the soft, furry surface.
"Just relax, buddy."
The dragon spread out as if to hug the giant wolf, and sighed as Lyle stroked a finger down his back.
Just then, Lucario heard a noise.
The cabin's door swung open, and the occupant- the fox, came out. He was orange, short, and dressed in blue jeans with a white plain shirt.
Lyle noticed, but acted like he hadn't, and a smile formed on his face.
"Hey!" The fox shouted.
Lyle opened one eye and his smile grew bigger.
"I told you, I never wanted to see you come back here!" continued the fox.
Lyle's other eye opened and he rose up a little, making eye contact.
"Oh, it's you. Nice day, huh?" Lyle said.
The dragon raised his head, and looked down to the fox.
"What I said before, I really meant it! I don't want you around here, city-wolf! you or your friend. Now leave my house alone and go away!" The fox yelled.
Lyle chuckled.
"Hmmmmm, no. I think I'll stay."
That proclomation made the fox even more enraged.
"I mean it! You better go right now! Get out of here before, before I..."
"Before what?" Lyle replied, and sat up, causing the dragon to slip down his chest, all the way down to his belly before the dragon grabbed onto his fur.
"What are you gonna do?" He teased with a confident smile. The fox stood still, and said nothing.
Lyle lifted one foot off the fox's house. Slowly, he moved and positioned it above the fox, about 25 feet in the air. As soon as he realized what was happening, the fox stepped back, then started running as Lyle's massive paw began descending.
The fox picked up speed as he made break for his house but Lyle was just to quick, carefully bringing his foot down to the ground.
The fox screamed, as the footpaw dropped then landed just behind him, it's force enough to shake the ground, forcing the fox to fall over. He landed face down, and immediately turned himself over and scrambled back a few feet, looking up to the massive wolf with fear in his eyes.
Lyle slowly wiggled his huge toes, and gave the fox a smug, dominant look that said it all. Quickly, the fox got to his feet and ran back inside the cabin without another word.
Lyle grinned.
He loved being huge.
Lucario had watched the entire scene in amazement. Even now, he could not stop his legs from shaking. The jackal pokemon watched as the giant wolf Lyle began to relax again, lying back and folding his mighty arms behind his head and shutting his eyes. He looked ready to take a nap, Lucario thought. Lyle raised his footpaw back onto the house where it had been before, making the roof bend inwards even more from the weight.
Lucario stayed motionless for over 15 minutes, silently watching- you might say admiring, Lyle, from the safety of the bushes. Only when Lucario was sure the wolf had fallen asleep, did the pokemon decide to move. Slowly he emerged from the green bushes and turned around to retreat to the forest.
But then his nose stopped him. Something delicious was calling him. Lucario turned back around and sniffed. The wolf's natural scent was the most dominant odor in the air, but somewhere, Lucario knew he smelled the scent of mixed berries. The basket! Lucario stared at the basket, then looked to the wolf.
"He must be asleep now..." Lucario thought. "Should I..."
Lucario made up his mind right there. He would quietly walk over to the basket placed only several feet away from Lyle, and grab some of the berries, and disappear without a sound. It was the perfect crime! And neither Lyle or his dragon friend would know who robbed them.
Lucario waited a couple moments, watching the furry titan to make sure he was resting heavily, then silently tiptoed towards the basket. Soon Lucario would finally have some food... Or would he?

Thankyou :3 I did change the story around a little (like, having lucario present throughout) and i think i did better this time too. I don't know how much the later parts of the story are going to change yet but i have good feelings :3 does my loyal reader have any suggestions for the future? ;p (what to focus on, situations, etc.)
I really liked where the story was headed last time, though I am a fan of vorish things, so if I could make a recommendation, it may be to have a bit more of that in the future. Also I think it might be cool if another giant character came into conflict with Lyle over lucario and the others. That's my idea
