I grew up in Oklahoma and would find the big green lunar moths when we went camping. Most of the time they were like twice the size of my hands.

^ I found this guy last summer in our yard. He was good sized as you can see from him sitting on my hand. XD We had had a hail storm that day. Poor guy got beat up in it.
