Well, in the actual anime the monster had a weak spot that the small protagonist had to sneak in and attack while it was distracted. (if I remember right) I just tried to take it to a sillier level. :)

It's very lionlike...there was a lion person at that meet, and I'd drawn a cartoon earlier of hyenas mocking lions, so I made the baddie more lionish out of a sympathy for the hyena viewpoint. :) (plus I forgot what the monster looked like exactly)
