This reminds me of the "M is for Monkey" cartoon short that appeared sometimes between Dexter's Lab on Cartoon Network. There was a particular episode that dealt with a highly intelligent simian that had plans to do away with human kind - I think - and the smaller Monkey offered him a banana.

The look in this picture pretty captures the facial expression the simian used upon receiving it, hahaha.

Aside from the awesome colours you pick for your lights, I just love the soft blurry strokes you use! Do you do this with Photoshop? would you mind telling me how you get such a smudgey look to your painting?? Your web tutorial about stripping out the channels from a scan if you use a blue pencil was really useful too, by the way!

Heh, thanks. :3 This was actually done in Painter, with its oil pastel brush and appropriate blending tool. They're really quite nice. And I'm glad my little tutorial was able to be of some use. :3

Thanks for the tips! I tried out painter and its oil pastel brushes...but made a giant mess and hastily retreated back to the safety of my familiar photoshop lol!
