I like getting the AI to declare war on each other xD
I'm sticking to CivIV because 'A New Dawn', 'Caveman to Cosmos' (Specifically the R2R mini-version of it), and 'Fall From Heaven' - none of which have any plans to port to CivV because of the "harder to mod" and some built in mechanics or something. Also because I hate 1UPT with a passion so hot it could melt steel :B
I'm a beta tester for AND now, and one of the devs even added in a Diplomacy Feature in response to my showing how easy it is to pay the AI to engage in pointless wars with each other x'D A feature added in because of me, I feel honored XD
Not as easy to get them to declare on each other now, and if you get them to when you're not at war yourself, it strains relations with some of them (As in they refuse to trade with you or listen to your requests because you're a backstabbing schemer ;P )
I bribbed six wars in one turn at one point, and half the world hated my guts for the next two hundred or so turns. If the world isn't at war, something's wrong.
Mmmm A New Dawn nukes are a blast. Literally.
Several kinds of Tactical (Limited Range) nukes, ranging from the standard 4-tile Tactical to the IBRM with a 16-tile range...
ICBM's have been moved back in the tech tree a bit, Nuclear Missile's the new "Standard Nuke", and then there's the Advanced Nukes, for when your everyday doomsday missile just doesn't cut it....
Hydrogen Bomb - Same as ICBM, but instead of a 9 tile square it increases its radius by one ring, for a bigger blast!
BRM - Biological weapon. Less destructive than a nuclear weapon, but the results are much harder to get rid of, and they SPREAD. Tiles are massively reduced in productivity, nearby cities have a massive Unhealth penalty PER TILE that's plagued, and the infection can spread across adjacent tiles and coasts.
Endgame Superweapons:
Tactical Fusi - Same as Tactical Nuke. Converts the tile it strikes into ocean tiles. Implosion!
Fusion Nova - Endgame weapon. Same as Nuclear Missile but converts everything in the blast radius permanently into water. Implosion!
Plaguebringer - BRM's too cuddly for you? The plague this thing spreads is 5x as worse, and spreads quicker. Raidus is increased as well.
Utterly Broken Weapons:
Peacemaker - The instructions are as follows.
*Declare war on the opposite hemisphere, aim weapon in general direction of your enemy.
It's radius is so large you can't even use it on Duel/Tiny maps unless you're at war with everyone in the game, and you'll take out half your own emprie in the process per firing. For those who love Nuclear warfare, this is the King of all Nukes. One missile is enough to convert the continent you target into a scene straight from the Fallout games.
