Funny story behind this one...

I actually did this hat twice. The first time, it was Sunday around 2 AM in the Hangar/lounge, and I was getting sloppy. I didn't realize it, but I had cut the hat too small and it wouldn't fit on the customer's head, so I offered to redo it for free, EXCEPT...

This was the last hat I managed to complete before trashing my "rental" sewing machine. I finished sewing the band on this one and immediately heard a loud BANG, and the machine would not pick up thread anymore.

Returned the machine for a full refund at Walmart, this guy got his hat after the con, and somebody got a great deal on a custom hat after I threw the original in the "clearance pile". EVERYBODY WINS!
