Origami, especially modular origami, has always been a fascinating and relaxing pastime for me. I felt like it was time to branch out a bit (pun absolutely intended). The leaves and petals are folded from metallic origami paper, with a bamboo skewer as the stem. I also broke the cardinal rule of origami (never use glue), but since it is only to hold the leaves in place, I think it justified.

Surprisingly, this was all done without a plan (which is a first for me) - I had started on what ended up as the petals, and the idea just took off. I may have to make some more of these - I'm quite pleased with how it came out.
