This sort of sheltered thinking didn't lead to the most productive social life, allowing her to lose herself to her studies and her aptitude with the many technological advances that her house prided itself on.

However Petunia never forgot the sweet indulgence of food when she was alone and although she couldn't pinpoint when exactly it happened, indulgences such as good sweets became a method of gaining leverage over the young mechanist. She lost many a night to a young Jadequick with a cart full of cakes, or beneath the commanding gaze of an Amberfast indulging in her private fetish and would lose many, many more.
