I got compelled to draw my boar character in a different style, so I took the opportunity to practice my shading and... well, everything else.
But mostly the shading.
I'm also officially naming him Ruben.
I never really got into the idea of a "sona", to be honest. I kinda just see myself creating characters - like Ruben - from aspects of my own personality which would develop into their own distinct characters over time.
Ruben's core trait is quiet machismo. Basically, he's me if I were taller and more self-sure.
But mostly the shading.
