So here's the original sketch from September '05.
Probably done in PaintshopPro7 as practice for direct digital drawing - to get used to drawing with the Wacom tablet.
Always liked this little pic (full working size here) as she seems to have a rather delightful somewhat hungry attitude... ^_^

*Every artist* looks at some other artist and thinks "Damn, that's cool! i wish i could do something like that!" And that's cool! Then we look at where we're stumbling, what we have to learn. That's good too - *if* from that we see a course of study and practice that will get us to where we want to be and follow that - gradually or fast, doesn't matter....If we look at other artist's work and then reflect on our own and hopelessly say "i suck, i'll never learn or get there, i just don't have some magic thingy" - that is poisoning ourselves. The only way anyone has the energy and determination to continue to draw and paint and practice and learn id if you have fun and delight in your own work along with moments of frustration and being inspired by our fellow artists)...
But you have to have fun drawing and painting and delight in your own work - or you/me/anyone will never put in the time and practice that leads to the next level...and the next level...and the next level.
A little berating helps motivation, but only a grain. Stay playful. ^_^
