Sounds like fun. You should definitely go if you have the time. No excuses for not attending a local thing. Maybe you can make enough friends to pull a roadtrip and experience a convention first hand rather than viewing them from afar.

Actually out of my friends im the only furry respected person.. my best friend dosn't know....thats why i come here. i can talk to people here that are like me.....like you....*sniffles>.....Oe day i'll tell my friend...he is an understanding guy but im sure it will srprise him....oh what to do.....how do you handle that.

Unless your friend is secretly a furry as well, I don't know if it's really worth telling him. I told one of my friends but I might as well have not bothered. If I talk to him about anything furry related he doesn't get it and doesn't really care. Better to find friends who do and talk to your other friends about everything else.

See this is why his my best frend..had my back very first day of high school...i looked after him when he was on crounches that same year...he even said to me "anything you are,i'll respect that",,....' I want to so i can get it out of the way..but i think timing is bad....h is getting married with his fuance less than a year from now.....im scared...but i see light at the end of this tunnel...thats why i like to talk to people here...thanks for being helpful friend...

If it's really that important to you, then I guess you should tell him. What I meant was that furry isn't a very well known thing in Australia and he probably won't know what you're talking about. All my friends know what I am, they just don't know the name for it. I don't think that it would make a difference if I gave it to them, because it didn't make a differense to the one I did tell.

Oh, and you shouldn't be embarassed. As far as interests go, furry is pretty normal. RPing is like acting we just have a greater empathy for the characters we play, the art is just a particular style that you like, and the people. Well it's normal to want to be around like minded people. Just tell him in terms that he'll understand and avoid the sexual stuff until he's comfortable with the idea. Then maybe you could start joking to him about it, though he probably won't get it.

Just don't make it seem like to much of a big deal, because it's really not.

Sure. As far as music goes I mostly like Static X, Korn, Slipnot and that sort of stuff. With pizza it's all good, depending on the mood. I don't really play games these days, however I used to love them up till about year 10. After that I went for games that have a good story, good characters, and a good soundtrack like Final Fantasy and games of the like. But my favorite game would probably be Sonic Adventure 2 because I played it so much when I was in high school.

My favorite movie is Spirit, the one with the horses not the Frank Miller movie. That movie had a profound effect on me, so violent that I couldn't function for a month because I could think of nothing else but that movie. After that month was done however I forgot every detail of the movie, probably my minds way of protecting itself. That movie changed my way of thinking and is probably the reason why I stopped playing video games and became a furry.

I haven't actually roll played so I don't know what style I like and I didn't even know that there were styles (besides sexual, non-sexual).

So how about you. What are you into, What got you into the fandom, etc.

PS: sorry for the late reply. I had an assignment due so I had to pull an all-nighter, then I had to recover from it, then I got into a movie-watching, comicbook-reading frenzy.

I was about 13 to 15 when i saw the internet and what it had offer...came across by accident and loved it..

Yeah, you got to admire the skill and effort that went into the lion king.

I kinda remember animals of farthing wood, but not very clearly. It used to be my favorite tv show, but I can't say it is anymore because I don't remember it well enough. I wish they'd put it on DVD. Instead my favorite show is the original series of Kimba. That's one of the reasons why I started doing TLK comics (Kimba was based on a comic, so making another one would be redundant).

I remember beast wars being on tv, but I couldn't get behind it because I thought that the concept was too strange, but some of my old friends liked it.

I've actually been depressed this semester as well. Last year was a hard time on me, and I guess I had a delayed reaction. My uncle died, then my grandfather died, then one of my friend fell off the second story of our building and was put in hospital, consequently my clique broke apart and I lost all my friends, then my dog died and the uni work throughout was more than I ever thought I could handle. Things are much better this year, but I got depressed anyway.

I think I'm better now though. I've started to live by my 'do what I feel like' philosophy and acted on my every want and just let my grades suffer. I don't get stressed anymore and half the time when I do actually do uni work I don't even notice.

As for what I probably like in rp I don't think I should say. Not because I'm embarassed personally, it's just that I want to keep a clean image online so that if someone feels like slinging mud at me, it will stick. But I'm aware of a lot of the fetishes and I have no problem with any of them, even the more extreme types, as long as no one is getting hurt (without consent) I don't have a problem with it.
