PJ pants that were actually made very much like my original sketch art. BUT with minor changes. BUT not many. JUST a few:
1. No corset x marks with the draw string in the waist band area.
2. Changed one of the red flares at the bottom to black to keep the colors coherent
This took a good month of work. BUT was done MOSTLY in class. The only things I've done at home were as followed:
1. Sewed the butt pockets to the back
2. Did the bottom him of the pants UNDERNEATH the flare part.
3. Stitched the crotch line
This was a VERY good experiment. AND have learned a lot from the teacher along with doing things on my own as well. C:
The pants ORIGINALLY couldn't use pockets on the inside.
My teacher and I basically worked out a good idea that actually made this work well. She never did something like this either. And plans to do something like this again with other pants when others request to do so. ^^
After the pockets were sewn. We TRIED to sew the flare on first...but that WASN'T going to work...and would of caused way more time spent on the issue.
So...we ended up sewing up the legs to the crotch seam.
Tried them on to do the tapering of the legs.
Then made the non-functional pockets by also HAND embroider the design onto the pockets before sewing the pockets to the pants.
sewn the pockets on
sewed the pants back up
added the waist band
added the elastic and draw string
made the button holes for the draw string
sewn the draw string and elastic at the center back to give it a LOT of extreme durability
Hemmed the regular bottoms
Started adding the flares by making them into a pattern
Sewed the flares together
Sewed the flares on the inside of the red and black fabric by making a 1/2 inch seam and sewn them from the inside
Started to hem them...and ended up having to taper the black a little and stitch it back up
Hemmed the black and red bottoms
Called them done.

These were a bit time consuming...BUT WORTH IT!
PLEASE DO NOT STEAL! I'VE WORKED EXTREMELY HARD TO MAKE THESE WORK!
Pants and design by me -also with help from the teacher as well. C: and a few pointers from other students as well while in the making!-
