Finally made my own ref for a character I got from smokeplanet on dA! I kind of bought him on a whim and paid quite a bit, but idk I really connected with this guy, so I had to have him! Plus he came with a bunch of neat art which you can view here: sta.sh/2onafu1wgju?edit=1
Nicknames: He doesn't remember his real name, so Ghost itself is a nickname, and he hates to be called by it because it reminds him of his state of being.
Personality: ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging)
Ghost lives in an almost constant state of detachment (both physically and mentally) from the world. During the day, he can be seen, he spends most of his time roaming about, frustrated, hoping to find something that will help him regain some of his memories, but he never seems to succeed. He avoids as many people and animals as he can when he's in a populated area, despite his loneliness. He is empathetic and has a deep understanding of things, except himself. He feels this is the reason he strays away from relationships with other beings.
Likes: Closure, the quiet, daytime.
Dislikes: Being dead, not being able to remember his life, chaos, confusion.
Background: Ghost can't remember how he died, but he figures if the antler lodged through his neck is any indication, he probably lost a fight with a deer. Not long after his death, Ghost realized he was the only one who could see the monster-shaped shadows that plagued and killed the living. He can interact with, and therefore destroy the shadows, but the first time he attempted to do so, the shadows fought back by trying to take his antler away from him. When the antler moved, he experienced sudden delirium in which he thinks he hallucinated previous memories. He managed to save the antler during this, but was left with dizziness afterwards. He thinks the antler is the reason he is trapped between life and death.
NOTES: He can be seen during daytime, but is invisible to the living at night. The shadows can only see him during his nighttime state, so he treasures when it's light out. At night, his insides are ghostly white, and his breath comes out as a glowing mist. His eyes also glow.
