Wow this is amazingthecolorstheshading and shadows.  DuskyArtz directed me to this pic andwhilethe contest he is offering is lovely I'm more happy I got to see this piece, the clothing speaks of refinement, banded sleeves with a waistcoat and pocket watch, the expression speaks volumes of personality I see intelligent eyes with the look of a gentle fluffy giant one that seeks not to terrify or harm just a lycanthrope wanting to live his life in peace and perhaps help those around him better understand what it is to be a werewolf.

Well looks like I found a new artist to watch
Anyhow, first off I would like to say I love your style the mane seems really lush which I like a lot.
I can't quit pinpoint the facial expression though he seems to be trying to smile yet his eyes look sad to me.
His clothing I just adore it makes him look like a rather dapper gentlemen, and all together the picture kind of reminds me of beauty and the beast a bit X3
Though the straps makes me feel like he's trying to restrain himself.
Maybe that's why he is sad, he wants to restrain his werewolf form but can't
Finally I just want to say I love the anatomy your paws are absolutely wonderful, I've always loved big rough hands

Sometimes I think I read to much into some details though, but it's always fun to analyze and come up with crazy ideas for certain aspects of a character. He's certainly a fine looking gentleman, I'm glad Dusk shared your art

When I clicked on Dusk's contest it took me a minute to realize what was being asked so naturally I clicked the link first stared at the piece for a moment before going back and reading the rules. I have to first off thank Dusk for bringing my attention to you because though I spend a decent amount of time on FA I still miss a lot. I love the piece as a whole, I personally believe that werewolves are exceptionally tricky characters to draw because of the human/animal blend that has to be much more perfect then your average fur. Clothing is another difficult piece that a lot of artists also seem to struggle with and I think you nailed it in a very appropriate and stylish way. But back to the werewolf himself, I love the natural flow of fur/hair and how it frames the face in a believable way. I also really appreciate the beautiful way of how the feet were drawn and fluff is actually on the upper heel which many people often forget. My absolute favorite part though is that though he is one fur color he has eyebrows that do not create an odd look but aid in giving him a more human expression. Plus I really do think the shading is done very well. But contest or not I would like to show my support for you and add a watch to your account and see what else you do with this beautiful character. Good luck in your quest of artistic creation.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you noticed the design choices; since all of my chars are anthro He needed to stand out as a Lycanthrope. Dusk suggested his single color as well to give Him a younger look.

OMG!!! He is just a monocle short of perfection :D Not sure how I missed this, as I'm watching you O_o

Love the clothing choices and my only critique there would be the straps on the biceps (slightly lower so they are below the biceps would make more sense, as flexing his biceps would hurt with those there) ;) Also, I like the grey shirt. Not a colour often used for shirts and it damn well should be :)

Lol, who says He doesn't have a monacle....>.> Anywhoo, thank you, and I appreciate the crit. I wear steampunk clothes when I can and you're right; arm garters hug the arm right below the bicep, almost at the crook of the elbow. I'll have to correct that next pic XD

Let's see...something a bit more meaningful.

The coloration of his outfit goes together very nicely, I think. Has enough color to catch the eye without really being too loud, or too dull to pass over. It just looks...right, I guess? The pocketwatch is also a nice touch just for the sake of extra personality. He's got a nice smile, I suppose - it's sweet without being too sweet. I dunno - it's just nice to see characters with a touch of shyness without being a full-on shrinking violet.

Other than that, I'm not sure what to say. I like werewolves, I like what I've seen of him so far and would like seeing more. That's about it - I'm not good at putting my thoughts to text.

Hey thanks! I'm glad you picked up on the facial expression. Alister's a shy and eloquent character now rather than a brash rogue. His colors are muted along with his new persona.

No monacle, just gaget-ey steampunk goggles on occasion. And He actually has a cane! A cane-sword, lol

Nah, I have a soft spot for canes and cane swirds. The umbrellas work for Oswald Cobblepot, but not Alister methinks. Besides He'll have other Steampunk gadgets at his disposal like a derranged automaton XD
