Here is the mastermind behind the downfall of Utopolis. The original Dark Commander, and the first to wage war on the so-called "Grand City". Long ago, after his defeat at the hands of the self-righteous, false "Messiah", Pride went into hiding, going so far as to remove the horn from his forehead; to which he entrusted to Avarice, whom he knew would keep it until the end of time. Generations passed and 7 Dark Commanders all submitted to the lapse of time, their consciousnesses melting into the darkness that surrounded Utopolis. When all memory of him and his comrades faded into myth, he awoke within one of his descendants the knowledge of incredible dark magic.
When the last village outside the Grand City succumbed to the darkness, 2 brothers fought through the hordes to reach the city. Their path went through the Dementia Grotto, and there the brothers went mad and tried to eat each other, both tainted with the Nightmare blood of their ancestor. After blood was spilled, they both managed to survive, having been knocked to their senses in the nick of time. The last legs of the journey was in awkward silence, and even when they arrived at the Grand City, they never exchanged a kind word again.
The younger brother earned a job as head librarian at the royal library, to which begins to journey of revelation and truth. Soon, he would meet the other Dark Commanders and the entity of Pride will rise again to destroy the false city and resynchronize the fracture balance.
This is Gus, the only named character of the story, thus far (aside from Brady, his brother). He's actually very humble, at first, and tends to carry a sword-cane (not pictured). He's essentially the pivotal character.
