A monstrous creation, one of many ordered by Black Talon, which are meant to be answers to a problem he has... the fact that the city within his sights has quite a few superheroes. Thus, these creatures were made as a backup precaution, in anticipation of any, and all, possible problems that could arise from these "do-gooders."

Experiment XVIX (prounced "X Five Nine") was made using various different reptile species. Besides a tough hide, amazing (and natural) strength, as well as impressive regenerative capabilities, XVIX's jaw muscles have been reinforced through bio-mechanics, thus amplifying his bite strength to incredible levels, as well as rendering it almost completely unbreakable. Thus, he is able to bite through just about ANYTHING, without suffering any ill effects to his jaw and skull.

And he is one of many such experiments.
