I've been a Hunter for a few years now, starting with MH3U on the WiiU/3DS using the Hammer as my weapon of choice, but now I continue to hunt in MH4U on the 3DS using a different weapon entirely, the Charge Blade, one of the new weapons introduced to the Monster Hunter universe. It suits my playstyle, being able to strike quickly and efficiently while being able to guard attacks in sword mode, then switch into axe mode once charged up to dish out slow, but heavy damage and cause devastating attacks when fully charged.
All hunters have to start somewhere in MH4U, and this set of armour plus the beginning weapon which you choose will help you on your way to becoming a great hunter.
