Wooo, almost ten characters in one picture and they're not just posing! :D I've been drawing this for many days now, but I had lots of fun while doing this.



So, a little introduce;

First there is Karp's crew in front of the picture running. From right to left there are Lyov, Karp's younger brother, and also the general and second-in-command of their troops. Secondly, the cream colored one in the back is Alex, Karp's best friend and he's also a squad captain. The brown is Henryk, Karp's bodyguard (this mission is actually a fail for him…). And then Karp himself, the Lord Commander, leader of the troops.

Then there's the enemy group in the back. The brownish gray one is Eimear, one of the three rulers of their troops. The red-white one in the far back is Timur, Eimear's cousin and also a ruler, and the big dude is Eimear's partner, Conrad.

And then under Conrad there's Emmerich, who at the time is just a thief, actually the other one of their little thieving group's founders.



And next the backstory of what's happening here. Karp and a group of his men were patrolling the area around the mountains. They knew that they were out of their own territory, but they didn't know that they were heading straight to a trap. Suddenly Emmerich rushes there to warn them about an ambush that lies ahead. He was once a soldier in their troops, but something happened and he had to escape since he was suddenly seen as a traitor for them all. Karp hasn't heard even one word of him in many years, so the whole situation makes him very confused. Some of them, Henryk especially, don't trust Emmerich at all because of what happened years ago, so they hesitate leaving.

After a short discussion about what Emmerich just warned them about, Eimear and a huge bunch of their people come there and they see that he was telling the truth. They are greatly outnumbered by them, but they don't have any other choices than trying to fight back, or escape. They fight for a little while since they don't have any good opportunities to get away, but when Karp's men start dying, they just have to try to get away and leave behind them who can't follow. Karp and the others start running and Emmerich tries to follow them, but he doesn't get very far. Conrad attacks him and Emmerich is overpowered. Karp notices that Emmerich isn't following them anymore, so he glances back just to see that he's in serious trouble. Karp knows that he too dies there soon if no one helps him, and he has to make a quick decision whether to run to safety or go try to save him and get also in trouble there.

And well, his heart makes the decision for him, so he turns back there, pushes Conrad away and helps Emmerich back on his feet. His friends doesn't notice any of that, so he and Emmerich are soon left alone facing all the enemies together. Things doesn't go very good after that… Shit is hitting the fan!
