The words above are from Tomas Tranströmer, a famous Swedish poet. His first book was published in 1954, and he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2011. He sadly and unexpectedly passed away on 26 March 2015, aged 83, and he will be deeply missed, as his death is a big loss for Swedish literature.

If I dared to try and translate the quote above, it would be something like: "Time is not a straight path, but more like a maze". I don't know if there's an English version of it - if you know, you're welcome to write it in the comments!
