The space to the right means I keep expecting something to fly into his head from off-panel and him to start shaking his fist and / or have a foxgirl bounce in and hug him. :P

That would take... a lot more actually. This was just a test and something to look like the emulation of a game sprite so in theory words would scroll along the bottom with scenery int he background. It's a simple way to make a game at least. Still I call the test a success, I'd probably animate the rest of Darius' emotes for practice before I moved on to other characters (mostly because he tends not to move much) but hey I got time C:

Did you animate him saying anything in particular? I kind of hear him saying "stuff stuff stuff" and "things things things." That's probably all in my head though. lol

no it's just a generic talksprite right now, even if he was supposed to form words his dialogue is supposed to scroll along the bottom of the screen instead of being voice acted. So it will probably just stay "generic mouth movements."

Ah, that's pretty cool. :) I don't know much about animation, but I'd say you've done a wonderful job.

There might be. right now I'm doing it for the heck of it and possibly for the askblog. If they become something I really enjoy doing there might be a game involved. (a very simple one).
