Beautiful. I love how you can make the contours of the face so sharp with gentle shading like that without making the contrast too obvious. This is one secret I'm still trying to figure out.

Aww, thanks! :D What I do is usually 2 shading layers. If I'm shading white especially, it's hard to get a lot of values in unless I flood-fill the whole character in with a shading color (set to multiply), set the layer opacity at around 30-40%, then I erase out less-shaded areas with the eraser opacity set relatively low. And then I have another layer set to multiply where I add in even darker shadows. And I use the watercolor tool in SAI to blend/smudge here and there.

Ohhh. I use SAI too but I don't use a pen and tablet. Just a messed up old mouse with the old ball movement system. Lol. I wish I had the money to update. I will try that though. Thanks!!
