So...a Squink? Or a Skirl? Spraying from the tree tops (shuddertail).

Then again, Skunks aren't bad climbers either. I encountered one that way one evening on a scouting trip on the way to the outhouse. Windless, star-filled night, but the tree leaves were rustling. Flashed my light at the tree and there was the telltale black and white stripes 20 ft up. Said skunk was having breakfast on birch leaves. I left him/her alone and they went about their munching like nothing happened. Being a "good" leader, I warned the scouts when I got back to the campsite to keep clear of said trees if they here the branches rustling.

hehe, i would say nuthing and see if one gets sprayed from outoff the tree ;3

Ah, but you wouldn't like having to drive with them in YOUR car for 4 hours back to our hometown after the incident.

hmmm.. true true....but arent scouts suposed to walk through the forest n stuff? driving by car issa bit cheatin ;3

10 mile hike...fine. However, this camping spot was a 4 hour/150 mile drive away, which isn't exactly a day hike. Not all scouting trips are within walking distance and in many places, there is no place to camp within walking distance, sadly.
