What's in the purple thingamajig?

Plasma, of a sort. There are rifts in the barrier between their world and another dimension, refineries harvest the energy and put them in transport capsules (like the one Kris is holding, though that's a smaller capsule) and ship them back to the mega cities to power them. It's pretty cool stuff, very volatile and if handled incorrectly can disrupt physics a little. For example there's a refinery that blew up and now huge chunks of rock float around there (the Floating Islands), and another area that was contaminated and now has perpetual winter.

Kris is a mercenary of sorts and a part-time smuggler, since almost all the plasma goes to the cities, the colonies are left adrift when they could use it. So there's a huge black market for it.

Tis the truth. It's how I found your art a bit ago, actually! I described the images when I was linking them around to people in IMs as "Cute Lollipop-Head Turians" because of their little bodies. It's a really fun style/look

But it's also kinda cool, because even though you see it and KNOW it's easier, it doesn't come off as something lazy. It just looks like a stylistic decision that also happens to be easy. Very cool much approve yes.
