Character named Riptide who I have decided is a demi-god Liger.

His father, a mortal lion, was banished and hunted by his pride when he killed the prince, forcing him to run into the rainforests for protection. There he met and fell in love with a goddess who took the form of a tiger.
The lion was eventually found and sent his pregnant lover away as the pride attacked.

Riptide has the build of his father but the unusual colours of his mother.

He was separated from his mother as a young teen when a fire enveloped the forest.
