Vicious shrimp... seeing how they growl and snarl like that.

While they are very ferocious, they have a very mild taste, a bit chewy like lobster can be, but without some spicing up, can get rather monotonous. And being as large as they are, there is some worthwhile meat in the apendeges

And rumor is that way back when in New England seacoast towns, domestic staff had clauses in their employment contracts limiting how often their employers could feed them (cheap at that time/place) lobster, which has similar issues.

At least the solar stills should be able to provide them with usable salt.

They're learning to cooperate and communicate. Hopefully they'll be able to agree to a truce until rescue.

well hopefully they can come to some sort of arrangement for mutual companionship if nothing else food can be a great area for common ground in building mutual support.

BTW, What is he cooking with? i.e. what is he using for fuel? Don't see any trees for wood. Wreckage from what little buildings that were left wouldn't have lasted very long, and Danni has been there a year, already?

In this case, he's using a solar reflector. Saving scraps of drift wood or fragments out of the garbage pile for special occasions. Danni burned up most of the obvious wood scrap, but not the timbers and heavier stuff from the trench works, and besides, she has plenty of boring canned goods and fish can be eaten raw (though the placodrems need a LOT of spicing to be platatable)
