-Lyafres have medium to large sized wings on their heads. They can glide with these, but it is often awkward due to the wings being so far from the center of gravity. In current society, they are more or less vestigial, and high society prides themselves on the care and decoration of their wings.
-Flapping head wings can aid in gaining lift while jumping.
-Are very talented climbers-- cliffs, trees, you name it. They feel safest when they have the height advantage.
-Because of this, they have built many of their cities in tall trees, mountains, and at the tops of cliffs. If you are searching for a Lyafre, you ought to look up.
-Their tails are long, flat, and broad. Before they came together and formed societies, their tails were used to grip tree branches, rocks, and other objects for blanace while climbing and hunting. Their tails are very strong and can be used to strike and bind attackers.
-Short tails and small headwings are considered unsightly and embarrassing. Any Lyafres born with these traits may be ostracized.
-Their claws are generally small and used less for attacking and more for getting better grip while climbing.
-Though the majority are rather mundane and magic-less, it's becoming increasingly more common for a child to be born with magic. --All types of magic have been seen, though more powerful magic is, of course, more rare.
