A concept created by me and the bae of a species called Spacekin that are shells that hold massive galaxies
I could go into detail but it would take 10,000 years (i'm not even joking)

Basically their purpose is to save systems by absorbing the power of a dying star, thus postponing its death. A Spacekin can only hold so much energy, so once they hit their limit, they die. When they die, their physical form explodes and releases their galaxy into the universe.

They are EXTREMELY RARE and are slowly dying off into extinction.

Their only predator is the Space Eater, a dragon-esque species that thrive off of eating whole planets and systems. Each planet they eat is shown upon their pelts and can be arranged into any pattern. Because of the Spacekin's rarity, Space Eaters will often fight to the death over one or keep it with them for as long as possible before eating them (on the off chance they can actually find one)
