Since today, a new vintage great bird joined the hangar of Poitiers, next of the Castel 3010.
This one is a Bréguet 900 of 1948, it was a very manoeuvrable glider but had a bad lift because of the ailerons which are like the ones of the Storch, this not an internal system but an external one.
This one is the prototype of the Br.900, the Br.900-01 called "Louisette" by its pilots. It crashed once, for its first flight the 17th June 1948, because the controls were reversed, they didn't cross the ailerons controls cable under the seat of the pilot so, at the take off, the pilot were surprised and did a hard landing where the glider was a bit damaged. Severely judged by the Flight Tests Center for its bad performances, this prototype was refused and Bréguet made a second prototype, the Br.900-02, but all its pilot said that the 01 was very good in the updrafts. It flew with the immatriculation F-WEPE during the first months of its career before to take the civilian immatriculation F-CCBA and, recently, its immatriculation of collection aircraft, F-AZQT.
It's currently unable to fly because of a broken axle of fixing on the right wing. It's also owned by the owner of the C-3010
