The moon held itself high into the night sky, the sparkles that were distant stars dancing among midnight blue canvas. Nocturnal creatures were coming out of their dens, the more predatory ones eager to hunt for some unsuspecting prey. The more cautious ones were even more so, on alert for any dangers that could be stalking around the night-shrouded forest. Birds occasionally flew among the sky, their trips short so they could be on the move without expending too much energy when it comes to finding any insects crawling among the tree bark.
One deer, a doe, was cautiously strolling through the foliage, close to a pathway that was worn into the grass by other creatures that frequented through here. It knew better than to go directly along it though, since it was more open to any predators that could be on the prowl at this time. Its ears perked up when it heard something rustle, its body tensing up and head perked up, on alert for anything that could be nearby.
Close to its spot a creature did stalk, one that was easily larger than the doe's entire form. Yet despite its size, not a single sound was coming from it, not even from the steps it took The crouched form of the beast was low, belly almost scraping along the ground, being mindful of any branches that were low hanging. The coloring of the beast was almost the same as the forestry around it, nearly making it camouflage into it were it not for the faintly glowing eyes of a ruby red color. The beast had its sight on the lone doe, making sure to squeeze its eyes shut should the timid creature's head start to turn towards it.
Closer and closer, nearer and nearer, quieter and more silent the beast came and had to be, wanting to be sure it could pounce the doe with ease. Its movements were now to a near standstill, trying its best to not alert its prey to its presence. One of its claws landed with great care on the ground, the beast just steps away from being within a satisfactory range. The legs of its body tensed as it readied the pounce, though its ears perked when it heard a snap that came from a short distance behind it. Its lips curved down as it saw the doe's head quickly turn to the direction of the snap, the beast unable to close its eyes quickly enough.
The time was now and it had to act quickly, its legs pushing against the ground to propel its body towards the doe in a great pounce, not even minding any stray branches that caught its skin. The doe's legs were starting to move to have it bolt from the area, though the larger beast crashed into it before it could get anywhere. The forelegs of the beast wrapped around the torso of the doe, tucking its head down to roll with the landing while also having its body wrap around its catch, the doe struggling to escape from it.
Bouncing a couple times from the motion, the beasts body stayed curled up around the doe, making sure it wouldn't escape all that easily. Once the tumbling came to a standstill in a more open spot, the curled up beast flopped onto its side though still clung to the doe. Warmth started to radiate from its body, the struggling doe feeling it as well as its own energy steadily draining, much more quickly when added with its attempts to escape.
“A real shame I have to hunt like this.” a voice sounded out from the larger beast, watching the doe's struggles slowly weaken. “So much more used to feeding like royalty back at my original homeland…”
Bit by bit, the doe's energy was continuing to dwindle, its struggles soon starting to be reduced to mere twitches, the beast slowly uncurling from it once it had passed out. The skin of the beast, since the moonlight was shining on it through a break in the canopy, looked to be greatly battered. Holes and tears adorned its body, cotton insides visible to those who were seeing the creature. Even small portions were hanging off of its body, yet these didn't even bother the creature in the slightest.
“If only a human were around, then I wouldn't have to risk my skin trying to restore it, literally.” the draconic creature stated again, its form laying around the now-sleeping doe, moving its head around to the doe's own, jaws parting as its tongue came out to scoop the smaller creature up a bit.
The doe squirmed a bit in its spot, like it was being bothered by the action, though the dragon just gently eased its body into its maw, making sure that any movements from it wouldn't result in any further damage. The dragon took a moment to savor the taste the doe had to it, its tongue gently wrapping around the head of the deer. Deep purr-like rumbles sounded from it as it did so, the deer fidgeting a bit more in reaction to the treatment.
It wasn't long before the dragon started to swallow the doe down, having its fore-paws help the doe slide further into its mouth. When the head pressed against the rear of the dragon's maw did it start to swallow, and with each swallow that was done, it watched the body of its prey slip further and further out of its sight, even moving one of the forepaws to rub at the bulge that was forming on its neck. It couldn't help but murr at the feel of such a large prey starting its descent down its neck, slowly lifting its head to be almost upright to let the doe slide down into its throat at a faster rate.
When the last of the deer was just at the entrance of the throat, the dragon took one last and long swallow, easily audible as it continued to rub the bulge that its prey formed. Slowly and surely the bulge made its way down the dragon's neck, the plush skin stretching slightly to accommodate the deer as it went before retracting back to normal, some holes threatening to widen in response to it but thankfully didn't. It wasn't long until the deer was starting to near the torso of the dragon, whom had slowly stopped rubbing once it noticed such, letting out a sigh of content as it rubbed at its body.
“Think I might keep you for the time being, or at least just enough to restore myself from the deterioration…” the dragon said towards its gut, feeling the tiny movements from the deer within, smirking slightly before getting up from its spot and started to walk off, its torso swaying slightly from the deer bobbing about inside.

Before people ask; I can still browse internet, but being on it's much more expensive until April First rolls around. This means I have to keep Steam in Offline mode and until then I can't use it to chat with others or receive any gifts I got for my birthday.
