That's why he plans to build a whole gang of them. Build up a reserve of water just in case. He'll eventually even start a kitchen garden, but will need a lot of water, especially to start, to create some proper soil. Coral sand is pretty useless and will have some residual salt in it too.

Yeah, I'm the guy who bought two cases pre-Y2K and discovered (a.) they're pretty tasty, and (b.) when you buy 'em by the case at gun shows, they're ¢heaper than a trip to Club Mac. I still eat the entrees occasionally, but I hand out the rest of the stuff -- I can't handle the carbs and sweety-goo any more.
