Yes, that's right, she can't really manage words and prefers making sounds or writing. When she was young Rina, the gazelle who looked after her during the day, found her an old military laptop because she had trouble writing when she was looking at her hands (she has a form of apraxia). It's her most prized possession: she likes how it lets her think about what she's saying since she usually types and then turns it around rather than letting people look over her shoulder.
Yeah, but of the things other people can do that she can't, she'd rather have her tail not take half an hour to dry off. If not talking hasn't stopped her getting an extra family with her favourite big sister, two zebra girlfriends who love her to bits and a job, she doesn't think it could possibly be that important. :)
