So I intended getting this picture done last month, but things came up. Still, it's finally done, and this is what I'd previewed before.

So I've been on a JoJo kick lately. Finished the anime based on Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, and since that's done, I'll be moving onto Stardust Crusaders over the summer. So naturally, since I've gotten into the series, why not design Lucian a Stand of his own?

Enter The Chosen One, or Chosen One for short, named after the B-52s song from the Pokemon 2000-inspired soundtrack. It was going to be called "The Legend Comes to Life" but that's a mouthful. So Chosen One is a moderate-level stand. nothing too overpowered or under-powered, and mostly inspired by what's referred to as the "punch ghost" type (i.e. Star Platinum, Sticky Fingers, Tusk Act 4) and like those would probably have the Stand Cry of "AGIAGIAGIAGIAGIAGIAGIAGI-". But Chosen One's abilities aren't limited to just punching things. Despite the obvious modular locks around its body, Chosen One has something like a "mode change" ability.

Essentially, Stands are rated on six stats, Destructive Power, Speed, Range, Durability, Precision, Developmental Potential. Chosen One has three modes, Fire, Ice, and Lightning. In its base state its starts are relatively average. In Fire mode, its power increases but its durability is weakened, while Ice mode increases durability but reduces speed, and finally Lightning mode buffs speed but nerfs destructive ability. This was both inspired by Shulk's Monado Arts from Super Smash Brothers and customizing characters in that game in general. Another ability is that Lucian can use Chosen One as armor, since its body is hollow, but seeing as Stand damage transfers to the user, it can be considered pointless.

So that's really all to say. Maybe my next picture will be Raikatsu in a JoJo pose. I totally did not just draw that before. Or did I?
