Ooh fun!
I remember the RPGMaker series had a really really detailed Mimic monster in it, I think VX? It was beautifully detailed, could see the muscular 'stomach' inside the chest, saliva dripping from its fangs, and a lovely tongue. Beautiful monster all around. Don't think VX:Ace had as good of a monster, but VX's was beautiful. (Crime shame that the tilesets and characters were too chibish and vibrant in contrast to the darker more detailed monsters hah!)
Come to think of it, are ye familiar with the "Maneater" mimic from Dragon's Dogma? Creature's not much to look at IMO, just a worm with a toothy mouth hiding in a chest, but it has a nice neck bulge when it eats you, and a beautiful swallow sound that's very easy to hear <3
(There's so much vore in that game sheesh, how they got away without anyone calling them out on that is beyond me - goes to show how you can cram an abundance of vore into a game witout it looking out of place if ye do it well hehe)

I'm not really familiar with RPGMaker actually - the one time I got curious to see how it worked, it didn't even work on my PC (for some still unexplained mistery) XD
Actually my favourite Mimics in gaming are the ones from Dungeon Siege 2 - not really voracious but horrendously tough to beat!
Sadly I never tried Dragon's Dogma, since the only platform I have is my loyal PC. And oh how I wish I could try that, it looks a positively awesome game.

Aw. Yeah, only for the 360 and PS3. Such shame, since it could work well on PC eee. Would also mean getting at the hydra would be easier. Love that hydra to freaking bits. <3

I've heard mixed things about the boss battles, seems a common thing getting brought up is they're more tedious than fun (Especially the hydra. If vore doesn't interest you, then it's more a pain than it is fun.)
Mimics tho, this pic of yours reminds me I've never actually tried my hand at it eeee DX
