It was a simple matter to get to the picnic with the others, or so she thought. Leaving Apple Acres, Applejack wanted to just overlook the barn once more before leaving, making sure it was in was in order. With her Blast Box was at her side and happy to oblige the mare in her duties, at least it seemed that way. After trotting into the barn, it didn’t take long for AJ to realize that Blast was missing; She thought she had taken her eyes off him for only a moment before he had vanished into the maze of hay bales. She rolled her eyes with a smile, exclaiming to the eavesdropping stallion among the golden labyrinth, that this wasn’t the time for hide and seek and that they had to be getting along. Her words were met with the faint sound of chuckling among the walls of hay. She couldn’t help but find herself playing along and wandered deeper into the flaxen jungle. She thought it would be simple enough to find the sizable pony among the bales, but every pocket she thought she had caught him in, turned out to be a wild goose chase. Finally a noise hit her ears, too loud to be settling, it had to be him. She ran around the corner into a confined area, sure that she had trapped the stallion. Her loud, “Ha!” was lost upon the deaf (nonexistent) ears of his helmet, and her grin disappeared upon realizing she had just been fooled again. This time, however, she didn’t have time to dwell on it when she hears another noise above her from one of the high stacks… With a big smile and spread legs the grey pony crashes into her and the two of them roll deeper into the hay with the force of the impact. Despite his size neither of them were hurt from the playful pounce, instead their faces meet with big smiles and flushed cheeks. They look into each other’s eyes before nuzzling each other lovingly. After a few moments Applejack is the first to speak up, to remind him how childish he can be. Only to be answered by Blast commenting on it would be pointless to grow up, if they couldn’t be childish sometimes.
