Brindle does these lovely wing-it commissions. You give her two characters, she runs with it.And this scene is what she came up with! On a whim, I decided to describe it, and since I don't want to lose the cut&paste, I'm posting this ahead of the queue:
"Cultists. Why did it have to be cultists," Khazzie thought, as she and Tomo attempted to sneak through the woods to spy on the camp. Tomo, however, did not have Khazzie's grace, and even if he had, his armor alone could wake the dead. So it was inevitable they'd be set upon by scouts. Khazzie was ready for one or two, but FOUR? They must have known we were coming. "Now, if only I can keep one alive, we can get the information we came for and get out of here."

^_^ That's actually Tomo, but I can understand the confusion -- Brindle forgot to give him horns, and sorta drew him more white than blue.
