This is Ehmyt Taseni, a character to go with Amaranth's Saa Azeikan, seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15993064/ & here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15922186/ . He's a sort of crocodile & komodo dragon taur guy! These two are from a new story idea she and I have had, called 'Shattered'. Description below:
~
A large, imposing and fierce tauric male lizard. He is an unheard of combination of crocodile and komodo dragon in addition to being the only lizard-taur most people have ever actually seen.
He is unendingly protective of Saa, his ‘tiny glass dancer’, with whom he feels a certain kinship he is reluctant to explain, save for admitting that they are both outcasts amd misfits, away from where they belong, both wanting to be different in certain important ways.
Odd things happen around Ehmyt, which he tends to claim as being the luck of the gods, though he will not say which gods in particular.
Taseni saved Saa from a group of assailants, during an attack she most likely would not have survived, the one that took her arm. Saa feels eternally indebted to the large lizard while he found himself with a life to care for that he is not entirely sure how to care for, nor if he wants to… even if she’s exactly what he needs most right now.
~
Two outcasts,
buffeted
by sand-blasts.
Away through
the desert
they flew.
To escape
their lives
and re-shape
themselves.
~
Thanks once more to Amaranth, my perfect Partenaire en transgressions! Only she could craft this.. green, over-sized, over-whelming dragon.. grinning intensely, readying licks! <333 I love him, but not as much as my little lady.

Anytime I see you two collaborate, I know something great is in the works!
Seeing how his relationship with miss Saa will go through time will definitely be interesting. The desert is a cruel mistress, so I can only hope they stick together! (Which they will, if the elegant mantids from other worlds are any indication!)
That is definitely a nice little backstory; and the poem enhaces the feeling and meaning behind the events.
Nice work, you two!

Don't know if it was just one of you, or both you and WhiteMantis putting your awesome creative heads together to form Ehmyt's design... but the Crocomodo looks really damn awesome! Such an oddly fitting hybrid for desert dwelling...
It's funny that this term generally has such negative connotations... but what fascinating little titbits can be learnt about Ehmyt here leave a lot to be desired! I wanna know more! These characters, their motivations, this world... Shattered really came out of nowhere and soaked up all my attention. I love desert creatures, and I look to you and WhiteMantis as two of the three biggest contributors to my decision to try my own hand at world building. Seeing you undertake something that ticks so many of my boxes... well, I can say I am very eager to see more of Shattered in the future!
But for what little I do now know... it is nice to see Saa has somebody. I was worried that she might be all alone for a vast majority of her story, from the pieces that had come before. I am pleased to see she has somebody... and quite fascinated to see that it happens to be another strange outcast like her. Much as I'd love to her just to meet one of the several kind and accepting people in the comment section... it makes for much more interesting story when the both of them have their own oddities to explore.
No point me asking for details, as I doubt you'd be willing to share so early on... but know that I am already hooked and eager to see more!

You really do always leave the best comments, Sir! Thank you so much. :}===<
What term did you mean, though? Oh, wait, you mean the phrase "leave a lot to be desired". I see now.
Well, you're familiar with the idea of 'leave them wanting more', right? Not that that was the plan with these posts, but I'm glad to see that's how it's worked out for a lot of people, you included. :}

You're most welcome, Ame!
Yeah, "leave a lot to be desired". It... often carries such negative connotations. But I'd like to think that in this case, these little morsels of information you've shared with us really make me (and many others as it so happens) want to know more. Shattered has really grabbed my interest in numerous ways, and I'm excited to see whatever might come next.

Well, WhiteMantis just uploaded this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16799095/ So that's a bit more! :}
But that's about it, for now. And yes, he's got to be gentle around someone as small as Saa. <:
Thanks for the fave, as well!

Yeah. I hope to have some more art that shows the two of them together up soon-ish. Sometime this month, given that I'm doing 'at least a post a day' all month long, to try to get through a big part of my backlog.
That being said, if you want more Saa/Ehmyt content, make sure you saw everything in their folder: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/.....1750/Ehmyt-Saa

Yes, getting a small taste of the Charmer & Python thing inspired Amaranth [aka WhiteMantis] to create a whole big desert setting with new characters, and I joined in. Now that you're up to this point in the gallery, I could/should send you some of the small 'Shattered' narrative pieces and the art that goes with them, since they aren't on Ama's gallery anymore.
I could put them in a note if you like. It's only a handful of things, as I recall.
