yeah, it's been a whopper season for hurricanes, Ike pounded the coastline, and Gustave managed to live up to the supergun that bore the name, staying strong enough by gobbling smaller storm fronts en route to hit us all the way in Chicago. (Granted, we just had to deal with torrential rains and flooding, but it was still identified as Gustav on the weather maps.)

Ike also kicked up a bunch of rain our way, I spend days letting anyone who cared (and many who didn't) know that 'Y'know what, I don't like Ike."

Oh, a lotta people came up with that one. I saw it spraypainted on a boarded-up window somewhere, along with "Take a Hike, Ike".

I never said i was original, just that I don't get to use a joke like that often.

It's like my bird puns. I don't have enough fellow avians close by to hang out with, so I can't use my bird puns without sounding like a lame 'look-at-me' drama queen.
