I thought so too... I avoided everything up to the iPod Touch. It got me.
And I feel like a dirty dirty whore. But it's soooooooooo worth it. I carry it around campus with me instead of my laptop, and it does everything I would do to waste time on my laptop at like 1/20th the weight (even less, I think...)

Feeling like a whore for getting an iPhone is much like only yanking with the same hand. Sure, you can feel bad about leaving the other one out, what could you be missing, whyyyy!?!? But in the end, it's usually good, which is what you'd expect and then you don't feel so bad anymore.

That anology was probably the worst thing I could have come up with, but I have booze in my system atm so it's what I could only think of off the top of my head. Then again, I only have a Sony Ericson which was painful for me to upgrade to from a phone that barely functioned to do anything. It was a good investment, but for me an iPhone would be wasted.
To each their own.
Plus, whore's are people too. Granted they make money from lots and lots of sex, but, still, it's a respectible living. As that respectibleness also, I think feeling like a "Prostitute" for getting a iPhone sounds much better ^.^

xD I think I get what you're saying. However, more what I meant was "I don't need an iPod! They're overpriced! My Sansa media player is enough! It can play video too, see?"

I honestly love my Touch. As I said, it's replaced my laptop for my class-to-class travels. It can use IM programs and internet like I did on my laptop (given, it's a bit harder to use, but the portability makes up for it.) There was a short period of "Wow. I finally broke down and got one @_@"
