Scottish Fold Doll - For Sale
A cat! I don't make cats nearly as often as dogs because I find them harder to make. Faces especially. But I am actually a cat person. I ordered a new kind of cat nose a few weeks ago, so I wanted to try working on my cats. (And by "my cats", I don't mean my personal cats. I mean my general approach to designing cats.) I'm pleased with the results :) I only ordered 5 of those little noses, in case they were the wrong size or anything. I'll have to order more now.

I think his face and body look great, good idea for a breed to try.
If you don't like critiques/suggestions, skip the rest of this, especially since I don't know practical aspects of crochet so I have no idea if this would work: I think the really forward arm-joints on the dogs you do look great, and on the cat it's a little less accurate. In my opinion a cat's forelegs appear to be set further back, so if somehow on your cat designs you could make the neck, chest, and forelegs more... straight down (I don't know what wording to use), it would look more feline. In real life a cat's shoulder's jut forward when she's hunkered down, but somehow when standing they don't look as "beefy" as dogs. I'm failing at the description of what I mean, plus, I don't know how you would do a jointed limb that's "flat" in front at the chest. Maybe the leg could be just as big at the joint but be set back farther??
Anyway you always do good creative work so thanks for sharing your art. :)

Yeah, the shoulders/chest/neck area are what other me the most with this one. I think the face, with the new nose especially, is an improvement compared to previous cats, and overall I think it came out cute, but there are areas that kind of say "catdog". I'll be working on cats some more, and I'll probably end up red-lining a photo of this one to get a better idea of how I want the shoulder area to look :)
