I'll be sure to do better next time. At least the story that goes with it should make up for it.

A week had passed. And during this time both Nicholas and Topaz's birthday had happened. As it turned out both were two days apart with the vulpine's on the 20th and the vixen's on the 22end of February. Neither had been able to attend the party of the other, but had gotten something for the one they secretly liked. Topaz could still remember how surprised she had been when his gift had come in. It was flowers with a card wishing her the best birthday ever even though he couldn't be there in his writing. Topaz found it to be so sweet. The vixen had set up the card in her room.

But the most important thing was that after talking it over with Sapphire, the white vixen had agreed to Nicholas meeting the rest of the Jewel Vixens. The others who had met the vulpine had backed up Topaz when telling their leader that it was a good idea. It had gotten some interest out of Emerald, Onyx, and Aquamarine. Sapphire had no choice but to agree. She would learn that this would be a good move eventually. Topaz didn't waste any time in telling Nicholas.

The day then came and the blonde hair vixen was excited. She wanted this to be a success. The others who hadn't met Nicholas wanted to see for themselves if what they had been told was true. And then the doorbell sounded. "EEEEE!" shouted Topaz. "There he is!" The vixen was off like a shot. The vulpine was waiting outside when the door bursted open and the next thing he knew was that Topaz was in his arms, hugging him.

"Nicholas!" squealed the vixen. The vulpine let out a chuckled and placed his nose and muzzle against her cheek for just a brief moment. Topaz swore she felt his lips give her a kiss.

"Hey Topaz," responded Nicholas. The two then pulled back. "I'm really excited to meet the rest of them."

"Then let's like go!" said the vixen and the two walked into the place to meet them. The remaining seven saw the two approach. Sapphire regarded the vulpine. He seemed alright.

"This is Sapphire, Onyx, Emerald, and Aquamarine," stated Topaz and pointed out the ones Nicholas hadn't been introduced to yet. He took another step forward and did a respectable bow.

"It's a pleasure and honor to finally meet the rest of you," he commented with a friendly smile. "My name is Nicholas Russo. I'm a really big fan of all of you and your work. Even without Topaz, I was able to recognize all of you."

"You are?" asked Sapphire and held out her right paw to shake his. Nicholas instead caught her by surprise by giving the top a gentleman like kiss.
"Of course," responded Nicholas. The white vixen couldn't but help feeling flattered by his actions. He really was a gentleman. "All of you but especially you Miss Sapphire are well known. I've wanted to meet you especially."

"Well it's always nice to meet a fan," commented the white vixen. Sapphire was already thinking that inviting Nicholas was a good idea. He was charming, and quite handsome.

"Of course I haven't forgotten about ye Onyx," said Nicholas changing his voice to an Irish accent. "I've heard a lot about ye lassie."

"Wait are you like Irish?" asked Topaz.

"Nope, that's just my Irish accent," stated the vulpine in his normal voice. "Pretty good, right?"

"Indeed laddie," said Onyx and the two shook paws. She liked the vulpine already and could tell that he knew enough about her and was trying to show he could understand her.

"And of course, well met Emerald and Aquamarine," he concluded and shook paws with them.

"So just how many accents and languages can you do?" asked the vixen with glasses.

"Let's see, I can do an English, Australian, and Irish accent pretty well. Then I know some words in Spanish, French, and Japanese. Of course this stuff I picked up since in reality I'm half Italian. And yes, I can do such an accent. I'll save that for latter."

"So, would you like me to show you around?" asked Topaz.

"Lead on my lady," commented Nicholas. The comment caused her to giggle and the two left the other vixens.

"Well you girls weren't kidding about him," stated Sapphire. "He's all you said he was. I'm really glad Topaz and him met."

"He's very polite and nice," said Aquamarine.

"And quite a looker," concluded Emerald.

"Aie, that he is," said Onyx.

Topaz and Nicholas made it to the swimming pool first. The vulpine had brought a swimsuit on her request. Now he knew why. He figured that he would get in the water latter. "So do you like it?" asked the vixen.

"Very," answered Nicholas. "And I like this whole place. You and the other vixens have some nice digs."

"I'm happy you're so liking this. I know of a place that has a great view. Want to see?"

"Let's go." Topaz lead him to a section and opened the door. Nicholas began to walk in but then stopped short and his eyes widened. The place had bright colors like orange and red along with stuff Topaz liked. The vulpine could tell in an instant this was her room. Looking to the left very quickly he saw the widows and glass door that lead out to a deck. There was another pool, a few pool chairs, and even a bar like area.

"My god..." thought Nicholas. He felt Topaz tug on his arm.

"Don't like be a stranger, come in!"

"Uh... you sure?" asked Nicholas. He was blushing a bit.

"Yes! Now come on!" The vixen got him in. "Wait there a second, I'll like be back in a sec." The female went to a closet and Nicholas took a quick look. He saw a phone with a flower handle, a fish bowl with food and a goldfish swimming in it. Topaz even had a lava lamp. He then spotted a few pictures on a dresser. Going up to them he could see the vixen from the time she was little up until most recently which was at her graduation along with sporting and cheerleading events. Topaz had told him that she was the youngest out of the vixens and just out of high school when they had first met along with what extra activities she did. Awards were next to these. His eyes went to the one when she had to be five. A noise got his attention and he saw the vixen with some records.

"Like what are you looking at?" she asked and Nicholas held up the picture.

"The cutest little Topaz I've ever seen." He was smiling and held it up to the vixen. Topaz stated to blush and tried to take the picture away after putting the records down so they wouldn't get broken.

"Give me that, it's like personal."

"You're going to have to take it from me," Nicholas responded in a teasing voice. The poor vixen tried to from him for a good minute before the vulpine let out a laugh. "Of course you can have it back." She was blushing harder by now and set it back up. She felt him get behind her.

"So... are those your parents?" In the pictures of Topaz there was a male vulpine who had her hair color and fur. The older vixen had the same golden colored eyes and body shape. And Nicholas thought the same beauty and charm as Topaz.

"Yeah... There names are Jacob and Madison."

"They have good names. I see you got a good mix from both."

"Physical and personality. I've gotten my luck and brains from daddy and my athleticism along with cheery, happy personality from my mom." The vixen had told Nicholas that she had graduated in the top tenth percentile of her class. It meant Topaz was smart. She only seemed dumb at times because of her lack of common sense. That and smarts were two very different things. The vulpine also knew her parents were prominent and wealthy fashion designers. Topaz has explained that her home life had been a good one along with building her modeling career.

"Well they look like nice folks. Although I see you're an only child. I guess we're different in regards to that. I've got one younger brother."

"Really?" asked the vixen. This was news to her.

"He's three years younger than me. Back then, we had fun together. But now that we're older, we live different lives and he's become somewhat of a prick." Nicholas then smiled. "But enough about him. What did you need to get?"

"I thought we could like listen to some of my music," stated the vixen. Nicholas took a look through some of them while she put the first one on her record player. It played a song that she liked called Rockin Robin. Topaz couldn't help but dance and sing to it. Then she noticed that the vulpine was singing with her as well. Both realized the other had good singing voices. He then suddenly joined Topaz with his own dancing. By the end, the two were laughing.

"I didn't know you could like sing and dance!" she said with a huge grin.

"You're not bad yourself," he commented. The two then spent the next hour listening to her music and dancing. Some Nicholas didn't recognize. But it didn't matter; he and Topaz were having fun.

"Whew, I think that's enough for me," stated the vulpine. "I could do with a rest. Maybe by the pool." Topaz was thinking the same lines. The two got changed in separate rooms and made their way there. They found the other Jewel Vixens already there. They looked up when the two entered.

"You two have fun?" asked Jade with a teasing grin. Her comment made Topaz go red but Nicholas just let out a gentle laugh.

"Just listening to her music, singing, and dancing," explained the vulpine. He got into just his swimsuit and undid his ponytail. After shaking his long hair out, Nicholas dove into the water in a perfect dive.

"How does he like still have energy?" wondered Topaz in her head as she also got in the liquid. The vulpine surfaced and shook his head, sending water droplets everywhere.

"God, this feels good," he commented. The male began to swim quite easily. It left the blond hair vixen impressed.

"He must have been an otter in a previous life," stated Jade. "Look at how easy he's going in the water." She then got in along with Amethyst. The four foxes in the pool then started a friendly game of water volleyball with Topaz and Jade on one side and Nicholas and Amethyst on the other. It was a close game but the vulpine's side won.

"Good game," said Nicholas. They then spent the time relaxing in the pool. By then the vulpine had stayed so long it was time to eat. The male stayed and ate with the vixens. He was old enough to have alcohol now, but wasn't that big of a drinker. He did have a little wine though. While eating Nicholas learned a bit more about each of the other females. The vulpine then brought the idea up of meeting his other friends. At first the others weren't so sure. But Nicholas assured them that they were just like him in terms of politeness. He said that they would like them. Plus it was only fair since Nicholas had met the rest of Topaz's friends, but she and the others hadn't met Nicholas's. The rest agreed to this. After dinner, Nicholas decided it was time for him to go. The rest of the vixens thought this had been fun. The vulpine promised them that he would call on how to get to his place about a week from now. Topaz walked him to the door and the sun was setting by this point.

"Well that was a lot of fun," he said to her. She smiled at the male, both blushing.

"I'm so glad you came," whispered the vixen. "I like can't wait to see your place."

"Yeah, me to."

"Well, I guess I'll like see you around."

"Wait a second Topaz," stated Nicholas. He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. It caused him but especially her to go red.

"Goodnight," he said softly.

"Goodnight," the vixen whispered back. Topaz then went back, touching the spot that got his lips. Her mind was racing. Did this mean she had a shot with him? Did he like her like she liked him?

Meanwhile Nicholas made it to a payphone and called a number. "It's worked," he said into it. "I went inside and met all of them. They've agreed to come. You'll be seeing them soon." The vulpine then went back to his place, humming happily. Everything was going according to plan.
