This is one of the many many taxidermy pieces around the nature center. All of them are very pretty, and probably the only way you'll ever see some of them.
This here, is a Golden Pheasant. I've never ever seen one around here alive, this is the only time I've seen them. I think its a gorgeous bird. Puts tropical ones to shame, aside from the really gaudy ones. Its so pretty, with that long tail. Absolutely lovely. Probably a prairie bird though, and theres very little of that left around here, which would explain their absence. Which makes me a sad dragon.
