Another of the artistic freedom watercolor pieces I took earlier this past weekend, for the wonderful Faustorian! I experimented with masking fluid on this one, but ended up falling back to inks anyway. It did allow me to make a nice night sky gradient and star field (using gouache). I crave to make more night skies in watercolor and gouache now, this was uniquely satisfying to create!

It's so pretty, I love the way the colors work together, and how you shaded the fur. ;n; I want to learn watercolors some time!

I've never been able to get used to using masking. I've used it a few times and hated the result. Lucky you, you managed to make it where I can't even tell where you put it! The piece is beautiful!
