Something a little quick.

NoNo started out as a joke that got out of hand.

A species completely foreign to earth with fur so black that it reflects absolutely no light. It lives on a planet far from its sun, so that its habitat is one of very little light and very high natural luminescence. As such it has adapted to being the purest form of black. When it stands still, it closes its eyes and stills its breathing to the point where it looks like a hole in space. Or using its flexible spine and quick speed, it will bend itself into whatever shape it can manage to fall in perfect line with existing shadows so its enemies can no longer see it.

If all else fails, or if its all together too late to begin with, it flashes bright cyan markings to startle attackers so it can run.

Its internals also give off a luminescent glow, so if it is killed others of its kind will be able to spot it and know right away to flee, as there are enemies nearby. A final warning from the fallen.

The fangs are purely for defense, as it is a complete vegetarian.

As for the NoNo, its call sounds a lot like its just saying no over and over again.
