After a botched mission, Arun calls for an emergency pickup and gets the hell outta dodge. She can't avoid taking a bit of fire on the way out, but returns it in kind.
This is Arun's version of a "Zero Suit." It's designed to help her interface with the much bulkier armor she usually wears and don/doff it more quickly, but it provides a small amount of added protection in a pinch. It also has some unique functions of it's own, like being able to maintain pressure while in a vacuum, administer basic medical treatment and stimulants, but most importantly it houses her light screen shield, and the power generator for her regular armor, tucked safely inside a pocket dimension tied to the suit itself.
I wanted to write up a whole little short story for this, but my writing skills are sorely lacking in comparison to my drawing skills. Maybe I'll come back to it :P

Interesting. Sounds similar to Hadean Powersuit armor although things are considerably more high-tech here.. Hadeans don't use pocket dimensions (yet).. The MFAM ("Em-Fam", MicroFiber Artificial Musculature) bodysuit is what gives the Powersuit most of its physical strength, and interfaces directly with the user's motor cortex via an implant at the base of the skull, allowing the MFAM Controller to interpret the brain's signals and adjusts the MFAM to respond accordingly, making it similar to wearing a second skin. Heavier armor plates and supplemental power supplies/systems are then fastened on top of it and interlocked to shield against null-atmo and nuclear-biological-chemical threats. The MFAM can constrict segments of itself to act as a tourniquet but that's the extent of its medical treatment abilities.
Hah, I hate to admit it, but everything post modern has to have an acronym to sound official. XD I haven't come up with a real designation for her suit yet, but I do know that it's main functions are to act as a base for the heavy armor, but also to act as an Organic to Computer Interface (OCI). Ya see, direct neural interface is kinda dangerous and socially frowned upon. it has a bad history in my world, so they've kinda stopped using them unless necessary. A few people' brains get hacked and everyone freaks out, ya know? But instead of having an implanted OCI, her suit monsters her nervous system's activity across her whole body and uses that data. So it's an indirect link.
Her suit only has a bit of medical treatment stuff in it. The ability to inject coagulants, steroids, antibiotics, that kinda basic thing, and in a very limited amount. The muscle fibers are complex enough to do that whole tourniquet trick too, but that's about it.

I always like discussing fluff and learning about other peoples' settings. I'd like to see more 'technical' posts from you, although the porn isn't bad either :P
I grew up as an Air Force brat; military acronyms and M82 Woodland BDUs were my childhood, and I end up trying to integrate stuff like that into my universe. Trying to build a cool-sounding acronym is pretty fun; things like MAWS (Modular Assault Weapon System) and MACE (Modular Armor for Combat Environments) comprise the typical loadout of basic Hadean infantry.
Only the Powersuits have a neural link, MACE and the D-92 Hardsuit use more traditional 'puppetry' control schemes where the machinery just does its best to follow the user's movements, opening them up to a larger portion of users.

I definitely hope to do more of these kinds of things, but it's often hard for me to find the time :P I enjoy hearing about your stuff too! Is always fun to discuss sci-fi concepts!

And that's a good point, but this was never exactly intended to be armor on its own, it's intended to be "under armor" instead. She's just wearing it because she didn't have a chance to don her full armor, but needed a bit of protection.

I think that is pretty damn cool looking. Arun is totally rocking the whole Zero suit theme too. x3

gaming in Planetside 2, there as a light assault under heavy enemy fire from an engineer with a turret. Parked my transport between them, they hopped in and I evac'd them to a secure position. Then there was the time I was with a light assault loadout and my buddy evac'd me using a Valkyrie when things got too hot.
Yeah, the big blue one is a bit too, well, big to go on more subtle missions like this one. This is another smaller one that is easier to conceal. She has many, many guns. Don't ask her about her collection unless you want to be talking about it for an hour xD
