That dragon again
Yea, I'm not going to bother with giving them names yet. So anyway this is that dragon that I drew last time again, the 2nd character for my comic idea.
I still need to come up with 1 or 2 more characters for that thing.
This was a torment from start to finish.
I don't know how to draw a character with digitigrade legs in a less static pose. Usually you put most of your weight on one leg while the other relaxes, I couldn't draw the same effect here.
The anatomy is always a issue. I went trough Kuroma's art, a anatomy drawing book and photo references for this. I can't draw the underside of arms properly.
The veins were also a problem, same references except I also used this sketch http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8556496/ that I drew years ago using a medical image site as reference. I can't say what looks right.
Than eventually the shading doesn't even look like shading other than graying out the figure...
I guess I should be happy as people usually like it anyway. Despite the amount of errors I make, I do manage to draw something that looks like a overly muscled character.
What really bothers me however is how things are working out in the long term. I have a really busy study to worry about, but the way I look at it I'm not the only one. There's other artists that have a study or work to worry about yet they do so much better when it comes to art. I feel like I did something wrong in life, how come I can't focus enough on art to improve like everyone else does with the same problems as I do? What will ever become of me? Can I fix this somehow?
I guess for now I do indeed have horrible sleeping problems but that doesn't take away that others deal with these things way better than I do.
They quickly grew to the top and never fell from their position...

Arms and hands are always a problem. Depending on the hands position, the arm muscles also change in position. The same goes for legs, but not to the same extent. They're still pretty tough though.
I know I'm in no position to be giving you tips, 'cause I suck big time. But at least regarding hands and feet, you should have hands with 4 fingers instead of 5 and feet with 3 toes instead of 4. That should ease things a bit. At least when it comes to draw hands and feet.
If you get your hands at a graphic tablet and some good artist software, you could pull off some pretty damn good pieces. I can't believe you're making these in traditional art. That's seriously difficult!
But anyway, you did amazing here man. A full frontal shot of this big boy is no small feat. Very bulky, very beefy, lots of veins, you got it spot on.

Thank you! I don't feel accomplished by drawing anything but a full figure as making a figure properly stand on it's feet can be pretty difficult to do right.
The body in motion is pretty difficult to draw right even if it's only a small part. As for fingers and toes, I simply enjoy giving my characters a full set of digits.
I'm actually hoping to do more commissions and earn enough to buy a new tablet so I can finally do digital finishes on traditional sketches. Last time I used a tablet for sketching it just wasn't the same as drawing on paper, I don't think I can really use tablets for figure drawing because of that.
