The Grand Beast. A mythological monster said to appear only once every century, to scour the world clean of all impurities. According to legend, this thing is pretty much the end of all life, unless a hero can find a way to slay it. I just killed a legendary creature, the only one of its kind. I guess I just saved the world, but somehow this still just doesn't sit right with me.
Siege took on one of the Grand Beasts, and killed it. It is hanging over a mountain range, that city is there for scale of the monster. Siege's rifle is one heck of a gun, when he puts good ammo (figure $5 a bullet) in it and charges it. In this picture he's probably passed out after expending the energy to charge his rifle Gungnir for each shot. Good ammo+charge shot=massive penetating power and devestating damage to soft tissue, above and beyond even the .50 BMG round. Even still, this probably took him 100 rounds at least. Gungnir is a 6 foot long rifle. Scope should probably have been drawn longer for the ranges it's good to (adjustable zoom).
Also, Siege got a redesign. Shorter muzzle and horns, plus ears. Now I might actuallybe able to draw him from the front decently.
I like how this turned out, despite it being a sketch done when I should have been paying attention in lecture (we were at least going over stuff I know how to do pretty well, just reviewing problems). took 50 minutes even to draw this.
I'm gonna color it in either photoshop or opencanvas. I didn't resize this down from the regular size it scanned at to meet FAs size limit because I'm lazy and this is just the sketch.
