Thanatos: "All the friends I could have had..."
I woke up this morning and tested my tablet to make sure it was working by drawing a shape, that shape became this sketch. Here's my Sonic god character Thanatos doing the worst part of his job, being the god of death, observing and taking the souls from mass murders.
I recently saw an article about the ISIS terrorist group, and internal issues, recent murders, and the like. It makes me sad to think about it. So I put that in Thanatos, even though he is Death, he does not enjoy his work. He knows death must exist, the sweet release for some, and chance at rebirth or new life for others. The world would be stagnant without him, but this kind of death makes him beyond sad. He enjoys giving people peace, not sucking out their lives, because he cares.
So here are the souls of some people being drawn into his Soul Well, the crystal, inverted flame, horn that grows out of his head. Mainly coming from Southwestern Asia. Then he'll take them to Hades. I know I got the Earth's tilt a bit off, by the time I noticed I didn't want to erase for fear of messing up.
Be safe out there, it's a world of death. Death isn't the only thing, but it's there.
