I just happened to come across this while looking at my older drawings. I am upping it because I love Pokey and I need to draw him again. Although most of you might not recognize this character, he is Pokey as he appeared in Earthbound (Ness's game). The one you see in Smash Brothers Brawl is how he was in Mother 3, Lucas's game. I'm pretty sure I drew it within the same week of doing Giegue's picture, found here.

I finished Earthbound about 20 times (no, I really mean I did it 20 times, I counted each time I finished it) and I just love the game to bits. It broke my heart to find that mother 3 wasn't coming out here. God I hope they do put it out here or that someone cracks the game and replace all of the text to english (got my sources for that =3 )
No Bottle-Rocket like items actually makes the game more fun~.
Seriously, they were way too cheap in Earthbound. Now the bosses actually have something resembling difficulty (Minus that one boss you can introduce to DCMC swag. You know who I'm talking about).

I would like to see Earthbound and Mother released on the virtual console.
Even though Earthbound was released about 14 years ago in America, why would Nintendo of America deny the audience the franchise today? I mean Nintendo of America does not want to release Mother 3 and there is a fan translation out.

Sorry for the mass quotage, but I just can't help it, this game was really amazing, especially the last fight! Oh, and I'm faving this!

<sigh> I just wish APE would fucking give us the Mother games so we wouldn't have to do much research on why Ness and Lucas are in Smash Bros. and WHY they included Onett, Fourside and New Pork City. Even do a total remake of Mother 2 and an easier version of Mother 1 for all I care. I just wish we had more information about it here in the US! There's talk about Mother 4, anyway.
Each time I play through Earthbound I can't help but get teary eyed near the end of the game due to how you wrap things up.
Though Porky/Pokey needs a good beating from his father. Or a Gutsy Bat (ZOMG I GOT ONE MY LAST PLAYTHROUGH (though I didn't save before that point of no return ~_~ ))
